For mixing and mastering, does Adam work with digital or analogue audio?
Adam accepts both digital and analogue source audio - either in the form of digital stems, or multitrack tapes. His services will always involve processing your project through an analogue mixing console, hardware and/or tape.
Are final deliverables given as digital files or analogue masters?
The final deliverable is always a high-res digital audio file, with analogue masters on 1/2” open-reel tape or mastering-grade cassette available on request, at additional cost.
How long does it take to mix a song?
Adam’s mixes are typically completed within a maximum of 7 days. This includes revisions, with the final mix being delivered by day 7.
How many revisions do I get?
For productions, mixes and masters, 3 revisions are included, as standard. Further revisions are available, at an additional cost, per revision.
For mixes and productions, can I get stems?
For productions and mixes, standard project deliverable include a file for the mix, and a file for the instrumental (without vocals). At an additional cost, it is possible to get stems, as well. These are limited to board prints for mixes done on a console.
For mixes, do more stems cost more?
Adam’s standard mix rate includes up to 30 stems. To get a quote, please use the contact form on this website to inform us of how many stems your project contains.
Are discounted rates available?
Yes. For projects that include multiple songs (including EPs and albums), Adam offers discounted pricing.
Can i work with adam, remotely?
Adam accepts remote work for mixes and masters. Productions can be worked on remotely, but only if the project is digital. To work on tape, you must visit Adam’s London-based studio, or book a session at a similarly-equipped, tape-ready studio. For the latter, Adam is connected with some of London’s best recording studios, and can arrange their booking, if requested.
Can I attend a mix or mastering session?
Yes. For an additional cost, you can arrange to attend a mixing or mastering session with Adam, at his London studio.
